THE NEED

Medi X, a cannabis extracts manufacturer In the California legal cannabis market, commissioned Brandmetta to develop child-resistant packaging for its oil extracts brand, Medi X, that is eco-friendly and appeals to the the baby boomer audience. The client also wanted something that spoke to a more mature audience, something that was more sophisticated than the stereotypical “stoner” motifs found on many cannabis brands.

THE RESULTS

We believe functional, compliant packaging can be visually unique and appealing. Brandmetta placed a priority on the importance of safety, sustainability, and catering to the baby boomer audience. That’s why we’ve ideated a product line packaging that exudes trustworthiness, like a pharmaceutical product. As cannabis is newly legal in the California market, we wanted to ensure the Medi X branded packaging was compliant and easy to use, yet still child resistant. We’ve achieved this delicate balance by designing packaging that is sophisticated, yet inviting. Our cannabis extracts product line is sure to fit right in on any organic grocer’s shelf, radiating elegance and dependability. When the industry opted for generic off-the-shelf packaging solutions, the Medi X packaging is unique and true to its brand persona.
